AGARTALA, Jan 22 (TIWN): A kidnapped minor girl was rescued in Tripura after the 8th day of the incident.
On 15th January the kidnapping incident took place in Udaipur Maharani’s Hirapur area. The 17 years old girl was returning from Choyghoria after completing her private tuition. At that time, Jamshed Alam, S/O-Jibir Mia kidnapped her and took her to Chennai.
After the incident, the girl’s father lodged a complaint in Udaipur Women PS. Police started an investigation after lodging the case 4/22.
On Saturday, SDPO Dhuva Nath was informed by spies that the kidnapper is coming to Tripura along with the kidnapped girl. Getting information, SDPO Dhuva Nath along with Women PS OC-Alpona Sarkar caught the kidnapper at Agartala MBB Airport, and also the victim girl was rescued.
Both the man and the minor have been sent for medical. Arrested Jamshed Alam will be produced before the Court tomorrow.
