AGARTALA, Jan 19 (TIWN): Saubhagya Yojna workers have gheraoed TSECL Office over pending Bills/ Wages of 3 Years.

It has been almost three years since the scheme-connected contractors started works for availing electricity to the houses. But, the contractors have not received any money from it yet.

At last, in protest, they have gheraoed the office of the TSECL. The issue erupted many times earlier but the TSECL authority failed to resolve the matter. 

A meeting was held with the agitators and assured that the pending bill will be cleared. But, the contractors said, they could not trust the authority yet as earlier also the promise was not kept and thus, today they were compelled to gherao the TSECL office. Expectedly, by February they will their payments.
