AGARTALA, Jan 19 (TIWN): One after another allegation has been raising on TSECL Dept and now the allegation raised by Contractors, who worked under Soubhagya Scheme of TSECL for ‘Har Ghar Main Bijli’. Under Soubhagya Scheme the contractors reportedly completed the TSECL Dept work by taking loans from Banks and by spending money from their own pocket. Around 250 contractors worked under this scheme 3 years back. Since past 2 years the deprived contractors has been gheraoed several times the TSECL office with a demand to pay their arrears bill but no steps the department taken. It is known 60 crores of work was done under 'Soubhagya Scheme'.

The matter was taken to Power Minister and the file was approved reportedly but the department with several excuses has been returning them, allegedly. The deprived contractors said that the department has been collecting Revenue from public houses but not giving their arrears bill.

Regarding the issue Board Meeting was done but citing Finance Issue the matter was covered up.

The only demand of the victim 250 contractors is to repay their arrears bill as now the banks are creating pressure on them to repay the loan.
