CPI-M Nari-Samiti members got bail in 2020, June’s Protest linked Case

AGARTALA, Jan 17 (TIWN): Police lodged a case against CPI-M’s women cell leaders in connection to 2020’s protest.
Today, the CPI-M leaders were produced before the Court and all of them got bail.
On behalf of the petitioners, Advocate Bhaskar Debbarma argued with the Govt Lawyer.
Reportedly, the leaders include Krishna Rakshit, Lipika Chowdhury, Chaya Bal, Jharna Das Baidya.
In 2020 June month, the CPI-M held a protest against increasing crime against women amid Covid surges. Based on that, the case was lodged for violating Covid guidelines.
