AGARTALA, Jan 16 (TIWN): On 13th Jan 2 ICFAI college student’s car got stopped in front of Tripura CM Biplab Deb’s convoy due to disturbances in the car at Circuit House Agartala. Centering this Tripura Traffic Police harassed, assaulted physically the 2 College students and handed over to the Police where the 2 students had no fault.

After this brutal behaviour of Tripura Police, several leaders from different parties including Society’s educated people condemned this act.

Today Congress president Birjit Sinha too condemned the brutal act and said, “CM’s convoy will cross road but if any vehicles would stop in the mid road due to error in engine anf for that a person will be harassed and tortured, its can never be unexpected”.

Sinha appealed to the state Govt that the Traffic Police Official must be punished after the inquiry report is declared.
