AGARTALA, Jan 15 (TIWN): Passengers are facing harassment after arrival at the new terminal of MBB in Agartala from different states as there are no auto services available in the new MBB Airport. Talking to the auto drivers it is known the authority did not make any arrangement for parking space inside new MBB airport in Agartala, for which the auto drivers called for a strike of permanent solution on this issue. Oppositely it is known that in old Airport, the auto drivers had to pay Rs 20-30 for parking and now for new terminal, a new system has launched that the auto drivers have to pay an extra amount if they spend more time inside the Airport, allegedly. The auto drivers demanded permanent Solution of this serious issue. Talking to an auto driver, it was known the authority demanded Rs 1000 for parking, reacted to this the auto driver asked, “How much do we earn.... If we give Rs 1000 then what will we eat?”

However, the authority earlier Promised that parking space will be made for auto but noticing unavailability of parking space the auto drivers today called for strike and will not withdraw until the matter is not resolved. Centering the Strike, the passenger who arrived today facing harassment as many among them were patient and came after completion of treatment.

Now, it remains to be seen what initiative the authority will take to solve the matter.
