AGARTALA, Jan 14 (TIWN): On Thursday 2 College Students while crossing the road at Circuit House in their vehicle faced a technical problem after suddenly the vehicle stopped. It happened due to machinery disturbances, for which CM Biplab Deb's convoy was stopped for a few seconds. Centering this incident, Traffic Police physically assaulted the 2 ICFAI college students. Condemning the incident Trinamool State Steering Committee member Subal Bhowmik said, “The Educated People are unable to accept the undemocratic incident. In the name of CM’s safety continuous torture has been going on common people”.

A few days back a TMC Doctor met with an accident in his car near CM’s residence and he was arrested by Tripura Police. Condemning Police’s role, Bhowmik said that the Tripura Police day after day kept him inside custody for investigation. “For the safety of Tripura CM, Biplab Deb far away from his residence evicted several tea stalls, from which many poor families were making their all income”, added Bhowmik.

Condemning these acts Bhowmik said that extreme torture has been going on in the name of CM’s safety in Tripura.

“The Traffic Police officials who assaulted the students physically and tortured the innocent two college students must be suspended immediately and also strict legal action must be taken against those who were involved in such acts”, said Bhowmik.
