The injured was identified as Tapan Kumar Shil, 50. He was seriously injured after a Freight car registered number- TR031717 hit him hardly from behind on Wednesday morning.

Bishalgarh Fire Department staff on receiving accident news rushed at spot recovered and took him to the Bishalgath Hospital. After giving primary treatment at Bishalgarh Sub-divisional Hospital, the on duty Doctor referred the critically injured person, Tapan Kumar Shil to Agartala GB Hospital.

Meanwhile, it is known the police of Bishalgarh PS was able to arrest the vehicle.
