AGARTALA, Jan 11 (TIWN): Agartala Municipal Corporation has asked the hawkers to vacate the roads which are being captured due to their stalls.
AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder, Urban Development Mission Director Sailesh Yadav and other officials visited the market areas and asked everyone to vacate the spaces for the walkers and parking.
Agartala has been suffering due to heavy traffic jams and its roads are very narrow, which are further narrowed by illegal occupying of roads by poor vendors. However, no shop was evicted but the AMC gave them time to remove them.
