AGARTALA, Jan 11 (TIWN): Devastated fire broke out at the old headquarter of the 9th Battalion TSR in the area adjacent to Baikhora PS under Shantir Bazar sub-division at around 10:30 pm last night.

Upon hearing the news of the fire incident, two engines of the Fire Department from Jolaibari and Shantir Bazar rushed to the spot and tried to bring the fire under control.

Signal room of TSR and Store room including ration material burnt into ashes in this fire and it is suspected the fire was caught from short circuit of electricity. However, the damage amount was not known. 

Luckily, no one was injured in the fire incident.
