AGARTALA, Jan 9 (TIWN): A Private teacher while returning home after completing tuition was hit hardly by a speedy Maruti vehicle at Chandrapur in Udaipur.

The teacher was immediately taken to Tepania Hospital by Fire Service Personnel and noticing his critical condition the on-duty Doctor referred him to Agartala GB Hospital after giving Primary treatment. But the teacher breathed last in GB Hospital.

However, the accused driver escaped successfully from the spot after hitting the teacher.

The demise teacher has been identified as Goutam Majumder (49), a resident of Chandrapur in Udaipur.
