AGARTALA, Jan 9 (TIWN): Eight TNGCL stations Barjala, Radhanagar, NG Saha, Ranirbazar, Kolabagan, Mohanpur, Giridhari and Udaipur gas supply will be remain closed from 8th to 16 Jan due to inappropriate reason.
Reportedly, on 7th while the drivers were loading gas in cars they were obstructed by TNGCL management citing the tender period expired and not to load till further notice.
It is known around 100 persons were working as LCV drivers and around 100 drivers will lose their work if the company does not summon them again. Now, in fear of losing employment the LCV drivers’ gheraoed Chandrapur ISBT.
Before media a vehicle driver said, “We are interested in providing services but our handS is tied”. No higher official talked with the vehicle driver yet in detail about sudden closure of Gas supply.
However, the vehicle driver appealed to the CM including the TNGCL not to stop them from doing their jobs.
