AGARTALA, Jan 7 (TIWN): On 28th August,2021 BJP miscreants held brutal attack on Mujibul Islam Majumder at his own residence during an indoor meeting of TMC in Milan Chakra. Miscreants hit on Mujibar’s chest with boot shoes, since then he has been ill, and he was taken to Bengal several times for treatment but on 5th Jan he breathed last while undergoing treatment at SSKM hospital. Today, Bengal’s Education Minister Bratya Basu, MP Dr Shantanu Sen, TMC steering Committee member Subal Bhowmik, BJP MLA Sudip Roy Barman and MLA Ashish Kumar Saha visited Mujibar Islam's house and expressed condolences.

BJP MLA Sudip Roy Barman condoled his death and demanded to the Investigation Agency that Section 302 of IPC should be implicated in the FIR and submit a charge sheet. 

“I don’t want to mix any Political colour..........children have lost their father, a wife has lost her husband, we lost our friend, for which what BJP, TMC, Congress says is not a matter. The fact is he(Mujibar) was fit but after the brutal attack he turned severely ill. Repeatedly he was taken to Kolkata for treatment but could never recover” replied Sudip Roy Barman on being asked about BJP’s denying of Mujibar Islam’s murder.

Barman also said that Mujibar and he had a family relationship since childhood.
