AGARTALA, Jan 7 (TIWN): BJP MLA Sudip Roy Barman has paid tribute to Trinamool’s murdered leader Mujibar Islam Majumder when his dead body was brought to his home. Family members, party workers, even BJP MLA Sudip Roy Barman, Asish Saha, and others broke down in tears. Public said, Mujibar Islam was an honest man cutting across the political lines. Mujibar Islam was a Congress party member with Sudip Roy Barman, Asish Saha. Today, although other BJP MLAs with Congress party background did not visit the slain friend’s house, Sudip Roy Barman and Asish Saha have visited and met his family. MLA Sudip Barman said it is a clear murder case and police must add now section 302.

MP Santanu Sen said, “Tripura has not forgotten how Mujibar Islam was brutally beaten up, blooded by BJP goons. Youth leader Subhankar was in pain, screaming, bleeding in this house only. We do not believe in revenge and hate. BJP will get an answer in the 2023 Assembly Election”, said MP Santanu Sen. 

Mujibar Islam Majumder was beaten up on August 28, 2021 and since then he could not recover and finally on January 5, 2022 at Kolkata SSKM hospital, he breathed his last.
