Agartala, Dec 30 (TIWN): Students’ Federation of India (SFI), state committee observed its 45th Foundation Day at Chatra Yuva Bhavan in Agartala, here today. The SFI leaders and members started the observance of Foundation Day by paying tribute to the martyrs.
SFI state president Nilanjana Roy and state secretary Nabarun Dey delivered their vital speeches during the observance of the day in presence of over 300 SFI members at Chatra Yuva Bhavan.
To mark the Foundation Day, 10-day programme initiative by SFI state committee has been concluded today which was started on December 21.
As part of the 10-day programme, SFI state committee today distributed fruits and sweets among the children of orphanage home at Abhoynagar and also distributed foods and books among the children of orphanage home in Amtali.
Following the 45th Foundation Day, different units of SFI staged different events including sit and draw competition, street corners and seminars across the state. Many of the SFI units including MBB College unit have initiated 7-day long programme in the state onwards today.
