AGARTALA, Jan 6 (TIWN): Former BJP MLA who had resigned from BJP party, was terminated by the Speaker on Wednesday now has been arrested by Police from a democratic protest. The former MLA was arrested from Circuit House, Agartala when he was protesting against the privatization of Education in the name of the Vidya Jyoti project. Asish Das screamed at the Govt and said, “Today people lost all their fundamental rights. CM Biplab Deb has muted the freedom of speech. But, I will not give up. I will be fighting till the end with the last drop of my blood”.

Pointing his finger at the on-duty Police officials, Das said, “I will fight for you too. I will snatch your rights from the Dictator Govt”.

Asish Das was protesting for 22 days at Circuit House. He was taken to NCC PS.
