AGARTALA, Jan 4 (TIWN): Biplab Deb’s fear from rebel MLAs evident as on PM Modi’s arrival day, MLA Asish Das was house-arrested and police asked the MLA not to go out of home for the day. MLA Asish Das recently resigned from the BJP party and joined Trinamool. The house arrest was held without any permission taken from the Court. Such illegal house-arrests are not new under Biplab Deb Govt as earlier in September 2021, Trinamool’s I-PAC team youths were detained under house arrest, released after Court bailed them out. Tripura Govt has decided to function certain schools under PPE model by handing them over to Vidya Jyoti project which has snatched “free education for all” set-up.

Today PM Modi will inaugurate the Vidya Jyoti project at Astabal Stadium and ahead of PM’s programme, the MLA was house arrested.

MLA Asish Das was removed from his protest spot yesterday where he was protesting for many days against the privatization of Education.

Talking to the media, MLA Asish Das said, the anti-farmers' bill had to be withdrawn by PM Modi, Tripura’s privatization of schools also had to be withdrawn by the Govt.
