AGARTALA, Jan 3 (TIWN): AIDYO, Tripura division has protested against the massive hikes of mobile recharge charges by private companies mounting over 20% to 25% of hikes.
The protest was held in Agartala on Monday with an additional demand of reviving the BSNL.
Addressing media, AIDYO State Secretary Bhabotosh Dey said, “When the nation is hit by restrictions and economic crisis in this Covid situation, taking the opportunity, the telecom companies have increased recharge prices heavily. We are protesting from December 30, 2021 to January 3, 2022. Today’s protest is also a part of it”.
“The way the companies have burdened the people with hefty mobile recharge charges, students, common men to badly hit. The companies must withdraw the decisions”, said Dey.
