AGARTALA, Dec 18 (TIWN): The Brick Industry Workers Union has demanded 20% wage hikes.
Placing a deputation to the Labour Commissioner, the union leaders sought at least 20% of the age hike as, since BJP Govt in power, no wage was hiked for 45 months.
“There has been no hike in the brick industry workers’ wages for 45 months. We have been demanding the rights of the Brick Industry workers since the beginning. The Brick Industries are undergoing severe crisis situations. Whereas in the Left Govt’s time brick factories numbers were over 380, now it has decreased to 340. We blame the Negligence of the Tripura Govt for such consequences”, said the Industry Workers Union.
