AGARTALA, Dec 17 (TIWN): Resentment erupted among the job aspirants as TSR recruitment is paused for over years.
At first a recruitment process was cancelled in 2018 after the BJP Govt assumed power and now Biplab Deb's promise about new TSR Battalions and recruitment is also forgotten.
On April 11, 2018 Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb while attending TSR 10 bn led organized blood donation camp at 10 Bn-Headquarter, said, "Huge numbers of youths will be recruited soon under the New Battalion (Indian Reserve (IR) Battalions of State Armed Police Force) . At the same time the problems of the TSR camps will be diminished". "The government is aware of the ongoing problems faced by the TSR jawans across camps. Our Govt is visionary and will take actions to sort out the problems", Biplab Deb said.
The then DGP A K Shukla, Chief Secretary Sanjeev Ranjan were present on that occasion with the Chief Minister.
He added, "Setting up of Indian Reserve (IR) Battalions of State Armed Police Force for Tripura will generate direct employment of 2,200 youths".
