AGARTALA, Dec 16 (TIWN): At least 93 employees got relief as the High Court has directed Tripura Govt to sustain job continuation of the employees under the Atma Project.
As per the report, the Agriculture Department was planning to terminate 47 Block Technology Managers (BTM), 45 Assistant Technology Managers (ATM) under the Atma project.
The Government allegedly had taken the move to terminate the existing employees and to recruit new ones.
Due to the uncertainty, the employees moved to the High Court. The High Court in a single bench judgment by Justice Subashish Talapatra has directed the Govt not to terminate any employee till the project will continue.
On 2nd February, Tripura Govt had declared to recruit new ATM, BTM employees from 1st April and new recruitment through outsourcing will be done, terminating the existing employees. However, the Court has clearly directed that the employees will continue their jobs till the project will continue.
