AGARTALA, Dec 11 (TIWN): A man attempted to commit suicide by setting fire to himself after a fight with his wife.

The patient has been identified as Ratan Mia (45), a resident of Loknath Para (Agartala). He tried to kill himself after a whole night fight with his wife.

He is now admitted to GB hospital, blamed his wife for torturing him.

On the other hand, his wife said he always tortures her and their son is also heavily angry on him for such activities of his father. Last night, Ratan Mia allegedly asked his wife to take Rs. 3 lakhs loan from Bandhan Bank but she refused to do so as they are already very poor. After she refused to take a loan, the fights started.

The injured man is now undergoing treatment in GB hospital.
