AGARTALA, Dec 10 (TIWN): Theft incidents, robbery are increasing on an alarming note across the capital Agartala. In yet another time daring theft incident occurred on Friday at Kabiraji Tilla area under AD Nagar PS.

Reportedly, on Friday Kanak Acharjee, the wife of the house owner identified as Dipak Acharjee after returning home from Doctor's chamber noticed that the main gate of the house was broken. Immediately she informed the neighbours. After entering the house, they noticed that all their jewelry items and cash was looted by thieves. This whole incident occurred under broad daylight.

This incident not only created a situation of tension among the locals but also erupted resentment against the role of police. The locals alleged that in the last few days a lot of houses were looted in the same manner in Pratapgarh Kabiraji Tila area. Yet, no strong action has been taken by the police.
