AGARTALA, Dec 9 (TIWN): In protest against deteriorating ‘law and order’ in Tripura, Trinamool Congress organized a protest on 5th January, Party Chief Subal Bhowmik has announced today. Addressing the media in a press meet on Thursday, Subal Bhowmik said, “Crimes are drastically spiking in this state. Attacks on journalists are rising and even after having video footage police are not taking action. Attack in East Agartala Women Police station has all evidence but no action has taken place. We demand all these incidents should be investigated by a sitting Judge of the Tripura High Court. Today in Tripura, voters are forced to return home without casting votes. Attacks on media, opposition, and common men are happening every day. In the last 4 years, unaccountable numbers of crimes occurred".
"Crime against women took a dangerous turn. We will protest against these issues. We appeal to the common men to join in our protest”, said Subal Bhowmik.
