AGARTALA, Dec 6 (TIWN): TPF Party agitators were arrested in Tripura amid observation of 12 hours strike. The 12 hours strike was called on after two TSR Jawans were killed in Bishalgarh by their own colleague. TPF Party supremo Patal Kanya Jamatia has addressed the overall deteriorating law and order situation in the state of Tripura while announcing the strike. In various parts of the state, protests were staged. The agitators also demanded NRC in Tripura aimed to clean the state from illegal immigrants. Road and Rail were blocked as a part of the protest. Later police arrested all the agitators from the protest spots.

Slogans were raised, “TPF Long Live” and referring to recently occurred murder and rape incidents of indigenous people they said, “We want justice”.

In TSR Jawans’ murder case the party has demanded the death penalty of the murderer.
