AGARTALA, Dec 5 (TIWN): 2 Bangladesh Nationals who illegally crossed the border in exchange for money in India via the Tripura-Bangladesh border have been arrested by West Agartala Police from Bitarban on Saturday night. The arrested persons accepted in front media that they had illegally entered India for livelihood and for that they paid money to the person who helped them to cross the border. The Bangladesh nationals: Suman Mia and Samunal Mia were working as masons in Agartala for the last 3 months. Police arrested both of them after the Bitarban locals informed police about the existence of illegal foreign nationals. On being asked, both the arrested foreigners told the media that they crossed the border in exchange for money with an unknown man but they claimed, they do not know who the man is.
They are being interrogated by West Agartala police thoroughly.
