AGARTALA, Dec 4 (TIWN): In the HIRA regime under BJP, Tripura roads are deprived of maintenance works. Poor Road Construction at Dhalai Dist, Gandacheraa, Sarma ADC Village. Locals told the officials on the spot that they do not need maintenance if such is the quality of work. It was demonstrated by the locals that the newly constructed road can be broken by fingers. BJP-IPFT Govt immediately after coming into power increased the VAT on fuel claiming that it will be used for road maintenance so that vehicles are less damaged due to bad roads and can save time and fuel both which will earn profit to the vehicle workers in the long run. But in reality, the existing roads are not maintained by the State Govt.

This is not only a problem of Gandacherra but in various parts of the state, similar complaints are being raised.
