Addressing the media, the party leaders said, by such protests a poison of hatred is being spread against the Bengali community in Tripura which may turn dangerous for the state in the future.

The party also claimed that Bengalis are parts and parcels of Tripura but a section of leaders are misinterpreting the history and spreading venom of hate against Bengalis.

The statement came amid a protest that has been launched at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar for the last few days seeking a separate state for Tripura.
