AGARTALA, Nov 24 (TIWN): CPI-M's tribal wing Gana Mukti Parishad (GMP) has demanded ‘Land Allotment’ committee’s reinstallation in Tripura ADC which was suspended by the BJP-IPFT Govt.
GMP has alleged that since the BJP-IPFT Govt formation, not a single “patta” (land) was given.
“It is very important to protect the tribal community’s land. The time when the existing ADC committee was suspended and the power was given to the Governor, the Land Allotment committee was disbanded from the administration. We demand its reinstallation. Earlier without permission from Khumulwng, no land could be allocated to anyone by SDM but the system is now under risk”, said former Minister Naresh Jamatia.
Former ADC CEM Radha Charan Debbarma said that the Left Front will observe 77th Jana-Shiksha Diswas from 27th December to 2nd January, 2022. He also slammed the BJP Govt for not observing Janashiksha Diwas in Tripura due to a narrow political perspective.
