AGARTALA, December 27 (TIWN): Minority Welfare Council state committee today protested against the Assam violence where the Bodo militants killed 78 Adivasis.
As part of their rally, the Minority Welfare Council State Committee staged a protest rally across the capital city Agartala and later criticizing the central as well as the state govt. over failing to ensure security to the people of the state, staged a sit in demonstration in front of Raj Bhawan.
Three Adivasis were killed in police firing during protests against the bloodbath. In Kokrajhar, the other severely-affected district, retaliatory violence by miscreants among Adivasis claimed the lives of four Bodos at Manikpur and Dimapur areas. However, the violence accross Assam has claimed the life of more than 78 till now.
