Kailasahar, Dec 27 (TIWN): Tapash Chandra Ghosh, a faculty of Zoology Department of Ramakrishna Memorial College in Kailasahar, who was arrested last night with the charges of molesting a student of the college, was sent to 14-day judicial custody today.
A FIR was lodged against the faculty on molestation charge at Kailasahar Women Police Station, yesterday. As per the complaint, the accused faculty molested the victim, a second year student of the college in the college premises yesterday afternoon. Immediately, she detailed the incident to Principal of the college - Shanti Sinha in the college.
Later, she lodged an FIR against the faculty at Kailasahar Women Police Station in the evening. On the basis of her complaint, the accused was summoned at the police station where the police arrested and interrogated him. But the accused denied the allegation raised by her.
He was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kailasahar today and the Court sent him to 14 days judicial custody. He would be produced before the court on January 09, next.
