AGARTALA, December 24 (TIWN): The much awaited technology research center foundation stone laid today at Sekerkote area. Chief Minister Manik Sarkar today laid the foundation stone of the solar power working research center “Arkaneer”.

Appreciating the role of late Chief Minister Nripen Chakroborty during the program today Chief Minister Manik Sarkar stresses on the up gradation of the technology in the rural Tripura. CM Manik Sarkar said that more than 70% of the rural people use bi – cycles for transportation and about 30 crores of people in

India use earthen ovens for cooking purpose, said CM Manik Sarkar. Mr. Sarkar further added that setting up the new technology center would cost Rs. 2 crores out of which Rs. 1.30 crores have already been sanctioned by the center.
