AGARTALA, Oct 16 (TIWN): Allegation of unbearable Physical and mental tortures on wife raised against a husband named Biswajit Sarkar in Gandhigram area.

The deceased housewife has been identified as Ripon Sarkar.

Family alleged that the husband Biswajit Sarkar used to drink 24 hours and beat up his wife often in intoxicated situations. On Thursday the housewife consumed poison over husband’s unbearable torture.

After being informed, Ripon’s family rushed to her in-law's house and brought her to Agartala GB hospital for better treatment where she left her last breath on Friday late last night.  Her body was handed over to her family members after an autopsy on Saturday.
