AGARTALA, Oct 16 (TIWN): The pollution control board has taken samples of Howrah river water ahead of immersion day.
Although the immersion was mainly yesterday on Dashami, maximum clubs go for immersion the day after Ekadashi. As tomorrow is Sunday, it is expected that almost all the clubs will complete the immersion process of Durga idols.
The pollution control board will also take samples during and after the immersion process also.
All will measure the impact of idols’ immersion in the water quality of a river.
