AGARTALA, Oct 9 (TIWN): In a shocking incident, a man was caught red-handed when he was attempting to rape a Dog in Agartala.

The man caught the dog from the Battala area and took it to a lonely place while the NGO PAWSOME members were following him. The NGO members also recorded his movement on camera and found the man in half naked condition. The dog was taken by the NGO and the rapist was arrested.

Reportedly. PAWSOME Ngo while providing first aid to an injured street dog at midnight, noticed a person capturing a Female street dog at Nagerjola traffic point and walking towards Milan Sangha with the dog tied in a rope. On feeling suspicious, the NGO followed him from a distance & found him entering Bipani Bitan Market with that Female Dog.

The team then entered the market searching every nook & corner for the man & dog. Finally they found him in an objectionable condition, naked from waist down with that female Dog in drunken condition; trying to rape the female Dog.

PAWSOME NGO called the nearest police Station i.e AD Nagar PS & handed him over to police officials. The Dog has been rescued by PAWSOME & is in good condition now. 

Such incidents raise concern on the safety of innocent stray animals on the streets. 

Pawsome Ngo request every citizen to keep an eye on their surroundings, & report to the nearest police station on noticing any case of Animal Cruelty in their vicinity.
