AGARTALA, Sep 25 (TIWN): A driver was stabbed in the Khagra Chhara area of Assam-Agartala NH at the foot of the Longtarai Hills on Friday night.

The victim driver has been identified as Santosh Rudra Pal. According to the victim driver, 3 unknown Young men reserved Santosh’s alto vehicle registered Number- TR06 0657 and after reaching to their destination spot suddenly the three youths started stabbing him.

They had intention to loot the alto vehicle. But somehow the driver saving his life escaped from the spot with his vehicle and informed his family.

He was immediately brought to Dhalai District Hospital in critical condition and is currently undergoing treatment.

On last Friday (Yesterday) in Teliamura area 3 youths snatched a young aged man’s bike in broad daylight. Increasing such incidents raise questions about the safety of common people state-wide.
