SONAMURA / AGARTALA, Sep 25 (TIWN): A clash was reported among the CPI-M and BJP members in Sonamura on September 6.
The clash erupted after BJP members burnt tires, blocked roads and organized attacks on the former CM Manik Sarkar at Sonamura sub-division's Kathalia who is also the local MLA of the area and at the same time the Opposition leader of Tripura.
After the attack, a clash erupted and both party members received injuries.
However, as per the trend under the BJP Govt, no BJP member was arrested but CPI-M members were arrested. As Police failed to provide proper evidence behind their involvement in that incident or any severe crime, the CPI-M members reportedly got bail.
After getting bail, the CPI-M members gathered and celebrated raising the party slogan yesterday evening.
