AGARTALA, Sep 24 (TIWN): In broad daylight in Teliamura area two youths forcefully snatched a young man’s bike after beaten him up.
It is learned that a young man, Sumon Debnath, resident of Teliamura, Bramchhara area was on the way from Teliamura towards Khasiamangal BSF camp and after he reached at Gamaibari area, two young man named Shahil Basfore and Aniruddha Saha (Rudra) stopped Sumon. Before Suman realised anything, the two youths first attacked Suman and then fled away with his Apache 160 model bike.
The victim said the youths are known to him but unaware why they have done such things as he has no previous enmity with them. Later on receiving the complaint, Police rushed to the spot and inquired about the incident.
Sources said, few days back Aniruddha Saha and Sahil Baspore were directly involved in a vandalism of auto more than one from Teliamura to Khasia Mangal route and also attacked auto drivers, who were later referred to Agartala GB Hospital in critical condition. Case was also filed in Teliamura PS against them but their family somehow covered up the incident.
Centering these incidents in broad daylight raising questions about the safety of the common people in Teliamura area. Now, it remains to be seen what action the police of Teliamura PS will take against them.
