AGARTALA, Sep 21 (TIWN): Tipra Motha party has fulfilled another pre-election promise given to the Madhav Bari 2019 incident victims, where during an Anti-CAA protest on January 8, at least 5 youths were severely injured in police firing.
Tipra Motha before the TTAADC poll has promised about rehabilitation of many victims and out of them Madhav Bari police firing victims have today been provided appointment letters.
The 5 youths are : Motom Debbarma, Sumit Debbarma, Rabi Kumar Debbarma, Pohor Debbarma, Shankar Debbarma.
In 2019, during anti-CCA protests without any provocation, some unknown men with BJP flags started burning shops, raising slogans in support of CAA. Then police firing had injured the CCA protesters although they were peacefully protesting. The police brutality did not end after the shooting but police with sticks held attacks in ambulances.
However, the case was handed over to District Magistrate to investigate but never the culprits' faces came out via Govt investigation although many faces were exposed.
Today, 5 injured youths were given jobs under TTAADC. They are now on contractual basis and will be regularized following the procedures.
