AGARTALA, Sep 16 (TIWN): Jamal Hossain's custodial death has raised question over the Policing system once again. Although the death was claimed as 'heart-attack' but family alleged it was a pre-planned murder. Today Trinamool members led by Subal Bhowmik met the victim family and gave consolation. Subal Bhowmik told the family that he is with them and TMC will try its best to give the family justice. The youth Jamal Hossain (31) resident of Kolardefa, Sonaamura was arrested by police at late-night on Tuesday. Family alleged that police in front of his family members had first beaten him up at his home and then in lock-up he was murdered through police brutality. "If he was engaged in any anti-social work, police have no right to torture him and beaten him up to death. He could be produced before the court under the law", said Jamal Hossian's family. Many custodial unnatural deaths have been reported in Tripura in the last 3 years including hanging bodies found inside jail"
A 19 years old boy Mangal Das's death was the most tragic death at Udaipur R.K.Pur PS which was claimed as heart-attack later, but the public were not satisfied with the report as a 19 years old boy's heart attack is rare unless brutality was done with him.
