AGARTALA, Sep 16 (TIWN): Recession is affecting festival seasons in Tripura.
A low sale of Viswakarma idols has been reported in Tripura markets.
Talking to media persons, an idol seller at Gol Bazar market said, "The economic crisis is not only because of Covid but for the past few years ---- price hikes, low income, poor economic condition of the families have caused drought in various markets. This year stocks of idols are also less as it is expected that much profit can't be earned".
