AGARTALA, Sep 15 (TIWN): Again an unnatural death was reported inside the police custody in Tripura.

The deceased has been identified as Jamal Hossain, 35 years old resident of Koladefa area under Sonamura. Police arrested him last night under NDPS case.

Family alleged that Jamal was beaten up brutally in front of his family members and was taken him to Sonamura PS.

It is known he is residing in abroad and 3 months back he came to his house to spend vacation and he also booked ticket to return.

Jamal’s family stated, “If he has done any illegal activity then he should be produced before court, police have no right to torture him brutally and beaten to death”.

Family alleged it’s a pre-planned murder.
