Reportedly, the incident took place at Golaghati market on Tuesday afternoon when fire suddenly broke out in a car reparing shop. Before anyone could do anything, fire spread into the three other shops adjacent to the car reparing shop. The locals immediately informed Fire Brigade team.

 

The locals complained that the fire brigade team went to the spot an hour and a half late after informing the Bishalgarh Fire Department. Due to which it was not possible to save anything of the three burnt shops. The fire was brought under control after local market traders, locals and pedestrians reached out to put out the blaze. With the help of the locals, the entire market was saved from the devastating fire.
