AGARTALA, Sep 14 (TIWN):On 15th Sept TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee’s rally was supposed to be organised in Agartala City but the Police Administration cancelled the rally citing that another Political party booked the same route, on same time and same date. Later TMC appealed for rally on 16th Sept which also was also cancelled citing lame excuse that Viswakarma Puja falls on the next day i.e on 17th Sept and the administration cannot cover up such gathering. But shockingly after TMC's rally getting cancelled, BMS also withdrew Rail strike in North District.
Sudden withdrawal of BMS Rail strike after TMC’s rally cancellation has raised question over BMS's role. Yesterday TMC leader Kunal Ghosh had called BMS "mad" for organizing protest against own party's Govt at Centre and State. TMC claimed, BMS did it to stop TMC activists to arrive in Agartala.
However, after withdrawing the strike BMS placed deputation in Railway Division in Dharmanagar on Tuesday demanding Health Insurance for those who are involved with transportation. BMS demanded the provision of a minimum monthly allowance to vehicle workers and to bring them under BPL facilities.
