AGARTALA, Sep 14 (TIWN): A group of students of TSF placed deputation to the Director, L.T Darlong of Tribal Welfare Department demanding pending scholarship of ST students for the academic year of 2020-2021.
Students stated the deprived students met with the director of TWD in August month where they were informed to provide details. But a major portion of the ST students (above 12,000) did not receive stipends.
It has been reported that due to delay in payment of scholarship amount, most of the students are unable to pay their institutional fees. As a result, students have to face pressure from the concerned Institutions to clear due fees on time.
Centering the ongoing Stipend issue students placed deputation to the Director of Tribal Welfare Department and demanded the matter should be solved promptly.
