AGARTALA, Dec 12 (TIWN): Bangladesh Asst High Commission Mh. Jubayed Hossain along with a team inspected the border areas in North Tripura and South Tripura on Sunday.
Reportedly the delegation also visited various Districts of the state in the last few days.
Even though India-Bangladesh relation has always been good and bonded with brotherhood, still untoward incidents are reported often in the border areas. However, while talking to the media, the Asst High Commissioner said that it is a normal visit and they are just visiting various areas as part of a ground tour across Tripura.
BSF 130 Bn company Commander Promod Kumar was also present during the visit.
The state Tripura is girded by the neighbouring country on three sides and shares a 856-kilometre-long border, constituting 85 percent of the state's border. The relationship between Bangladesh and Tripura is a long one; it is civilisational, historical, lingual, and cultural.
