2 Arrested in Meher Kalibari temple loot incident : Goddess Kali idol recovered

AGARTALA, Sep 9 (TIWN): On Sept 7 Meher Kalibari temple was looted, where thieves had stolen Goddess Kali idols including various expensive items.
Centering the theft incident resentment was noticed among local people and accordingly a case was registered at Ramnagar outpost. Based on CCTV footage and with the help of local people, Police successfully detained 2 thieves and brought them to PS.
The arrested thieves admitted their theft incident.
The arrested thieves were identified as Sukesh Das and Prasenjit Sutradhar, residents of Bhati Abhoynagar Hrishi Colony area.
The recovered items market value would be estimated above Rs 20,000.
