AGARTALA, Sep 8 (TIWN): 2 media houses - Pratibadi Kalam, Daily Desher Katha and two CPI-M party offices including party headquarter were set on fire, stone pelted by BJP kariyakartas with "Jai Sree Ram", "Bharat Mata ki Joy" slogans.

The rally was led by BJP leaders Rajib Bhattacharjee, MLA Kalyani Roy, Mohila Morcha President Papia Datta, Yuva Morcha leaders Nabadul Banik, Viki Prasad. 

The rally stopped in front of Pratibadi Kalam newspaper and then two party offices of CPI-M and at last Daily Desher Katha newspaper office. One by one, these four offices were set on fire, all the vehicles, bikes, bicycles were burnt, stone pelting has injured many.

The BJP workers also attacked the police. So far no arrest of any BJP worker was done.

The BJP leaders however are the prime accused persons for the political riot.
