AGARTALA, Sep 6 (TIWN): Trinamool Congress has gheraoed East Agartala Women Police station over arrest of leader Panna Deb.

The gherao programme was staged claiming that police's hyperactiveness started after politically motivated order came from the high level. Talking to media, TMC leader Subal Bhowmik said that till Panna Deb will be inside the police station Trinamool will continue protest.

Subal Bhowmik further said, "Panna Deb was arrested just because she is in politics. Let's see how far they can keep our leader inside the police lockup and jail. Let them keep our leader inside and we will also continue our protest on road", said Subal Bhowmik. The Trinamool agitators then met SDPO Ramesh Yadav and talked about the matter, However, police said that police would act as per Court's procedure under the law.
