AMARPUR, Sep 3 (TIWN): The Amarpur Forest Department recovered about 35 feet of illegal timber of various sizes based on secret information.

Reportedly, a man named Babul Saha from Ampi area had been trading timber illegally for a long time. Forest department had the information about illegal trading.

Today the Dept's officials were waiting to catch Babul Saha red-handed. Acting on tip off Amarpur forest department officials led by Prasenjit Banik recovered about 35 feet of illegal timber and caught him red-handed. 

The current market value of the seized timber has been estimated at Rs 45,000.
